We are proud to have supported the team at AFL Architects in the preparation of their specification documentation on an impressive project. In a game-changing move for Wrexham AFC, AFL Architects, a leading stadia architectural practice, have obtained planning approval from Wrexham County Borough Council to kickstart the redevelopment with the creation of a brand new 5,500 capacity stand at the iconic STōK Racecourse.
This ambitious project promises to breathe fresh life into the historic stadium, and it's all happening under the spotlight thanks to Rob McElhenney & Ryan Reynolds, the co-chairman of the club.
The preparation and delivery of the specifications were led by our Director Richard Jackson, who supported the AFL design team throughout the specification process during Stages 3 and 4. The 5,500-seater Kop stand will take the capacity of up to 16,000.
The project was also featured in the Disney+ documentary ‘Welcome to Wrexham’, and it was an exciting project for the SpecStudio team to be involved in.
