The team require a recently graduated or someone with 2+ years of construction / architectural experience to join our team and support our existing consultants. It is a full-time position, fully supported by the SpecStudio team, and will be a mix of office-based (in London) and remote home working. All training on tools, software and processes will be provided. The role also includes a range of benefits such as generous leave, private healthcare, reset days and more.
Key responsibilities:
- Learn how to prepare and deliver Architectural Specifications to a project brief and programme.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and be able to think out of the box and solve problems.
- Learn how to advise clients on Design Responsibility issues to help reduce their design risk on projects.
- Learn to understand how the form of Contract and procurement route influences the Specification format/ deliverables.
- Keep up to date with technical standards, products and industry innovation.
- Attend client meetings with one of our project leads to obtain project briefing information to help prepare project specific documentation.
- Attend CPD events and keep records up to date.
- Comply with SpecStudio QA/ QC procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues on multiple projects.
The following skills, knowledge and qualifications would be beneficial, but not crucial:
- An understanding of the process of creating and managing digital information (BIM).
- NBS Chorus and Revit/ Autocad experience.
- A degree qualified in Architecture or similar technical/ construction-based discipline.
- Specification writing experience.
