Richard has 28 years’ experience in construction and Architecture, with 22 years working alongside, or directly for Architects. As a former Equity Partner at Davis Langdon, Richard led the Specification Consulting service line for the UK and Ireland, setting up new teams and offices in Manchester and Dublin to service clients’ needs in their local markets, in addition to the London office. He then managed the team's transition to AECOM until 2014, when he joined SimpsonHaugh Architects as Commercial Partner leading on their commercial and operational delivery. Having known the founding Directors of DCM3 for over 15 years, Richard has now joined his old colleagues in the next chapter of digital specification delivery.
At SpecStudio, in addition to delivering projects, Richard now leads our commercial and contract functions ensuring we deliver our services to the highest standards that reflect our clients’ requirements.
Richard has led the delivery of specifications for numerous projects, such as Liverpool One, Beetham Tower Manchester, Southmead Hospital, 20 Fenchurch Street (‘Walkie Talkie’), Anfield Stadium, Bahrain Financial Harbour and Apple HQ Cupertino, California.
